Privacy PolicyUpdated May 14, 2007 We require some information from you in order to make a purchase, such as name, email, phone number and shipping address, and financial information, such as your credit card number and expiration date. We also invite you to sign up for either of two mailing lists: email and postal mail. We use that information to charge you for your purchases and to ship your purchase to you. We may also use your phone number and/or email address to contact you in case there are questions or problems with your order. We periodically use our mailing lists to send you news and information. We send postcards and email roughly once a month, but typically less frequently. Our postal mailing list is opt-out, our email mailing list is double-opt-in and CAN-SPAM compliant. We keep track of what you've purchased. If you are on one of our mailing lists we may use that to send you information about things you may be interested in. We also look at the all the sales together to better understand what people are buying, to spot any trends, and to provide a better selection of products for our customers. Keeping your name, address phone and email means we do not have to ask you for this information on your return visit. All information included with an order placed on our website is retained in a securely encrypted form. If you did not place an order on-line, we will not re-use your credit card information on a subsequent sale unless you ask us to, or unless we ask you if it's ok to do so. We do not share your information or aggregated information with other third parties, except in that we use outside shipping companies to ship orders, mailing-list service providers to send email and postal mail, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. We give them only the minimum they require to do their job. Our web site uses cookies as part of its shopping cart in order to track your order from page to page, and as a convenience for you so as not to require you to completely re-enter your information every time you place an order. On pages that allow comments, cookies are used to remember your entered information, at your option. Like most standard Web sites we use log files to track visits. We analyze trends and see what visitors seem to be most interested in so as to hone our product line appropriately. Log file information is not linked to any personally identifiable information. This page will be updated to reflect any policy changes in the future. For any reason at any time you can let us know that you would like to be removed from our mailing list(s) or our database entirely. You're also encouraged to let us know about any mistakes and to correct your information. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Dolls and Friends at leo<at>dollsandfriends.com. |
