To place an order we encourage you to use our on-line shopping cart and order form. It's safe, fast and secure. Here's how: How do I put something on Layaway? Just place the item in your shopping cart and check out. When you enter your shipping and billing information, simply indicate in the comments with your order that you'd like to place the item on layaway. You can also indicate how long a layaway you're looking for. (Usually between 4 and 6 months, per our Layaway Terms, and how much you would like to put down (usual amounts are also in those terms). (If you're planning to pay via PayPal, do not make a payment when you place your order, we'll be in touch.) That's all you need do. We're temporarily internet-only, meaning that we're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right here on the web. What's a "Face Up"? "Face-up" refers to a given doll's facial paint job, or make-up. Professionally done face-ups are often preferred by collectors and first-time owners who do not feel ready to customize their own doll. Special limited edition dolls will accordingly have special unique face-ups to go with the character or design of the specific edition. When will you have more Mr. Super Clear? To be honest, we don't know. We've ordered it, and we should have received our order back in May. Unfortunately we have not, and the company hasn't responded to our inquiries. We're pretty sure it'll show up. We just have no idea when. Where are you located? Directions? Dolls and Friends temporarily does not have a physical store - we're currently Internet Only. Where can I get my doll repaired? While we have no experience with these folks, we have compiled this list of repair resources: Where can I order Wine Fer or Mint Fer? Unfortunately both Wine Fer and Mint Fer are sold out. However we will be taking pre-orders for Ivory Fer and Dusty Rose Fer sometime in mid-to-late July. We're not exactly sure when, so for now the best way to find out is simply to check our website often. Why are BJDs so expensive? The cost of ball jointed dolls comes down to a few notable factors. The raw components required to create them (resins for the dolls themselves, rubbers for the moulds) are not exactly inexpensive. Resin, even with professional casting equipment, is a sensitive substance and has a wide array of potential mishaps that can befall it in the mould. Along with that, something as complicated and polished looking as a BJD requires quite a bit of "post-production" examination and labor to create a good-looking and sturdy finished product, even if the resin decides to behave and not marble, foam, or airpocket terribly in the mould. Why didn't I get sent to Paypal on checkout? We do take Paypal, but we won't automatically send you to Paypal unless we know exactly how much to charge you. We've been told by Elfdoll that at this time no retailers will. The arrangement with the designer calls for Alice to be available only directly from Elfdoll. Will you exchange links with me? Link exchanges were once considered an incredibly important part of getting noticed on the web, and getting higher ranking in the search engines. Most Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experts no longer hold that to be true. In fact, linking to the "wrong" site (whatever that might mean) runs the risk of actually negatively impacting a sites rankings. |
